Soil Compost Mixing:
Services provided by the company include renting
decorative potted plants for events and ceremonies.
Plants returned from rental are trimmed and “repaired”
at the nursery, followed by recuperation cycles before
being redeployed. Potted plants that are poorly deemed
damaged will be sorted, chipped into finer particles, and
mixed with soil to form a composite substrate. Figure 5
below shows bags of “chipped” plant matter ready to
be mixed with soil and bags of composite substrate as
the end product. A mechanical excavator is deployed at
the nursery to handle the movement of organic green
waste and for compost mixing to create the composite
substrate for onward sale or potting use (see Figure 6). Figure 6: Excavator for soil mixing.
