I visited Anchorvale Hawker Centre to try out their
fishball noodles! They were pretty good, and I will
share my experience with everyone! The noodles were
good, with a lot of flavour! The texture of the noodles
was springy and pleasant! The owner had told me the
recipe had been passed down through generations, to
be exact, two generations. The shop owner also shared,
“This shop wasn’t always here; it first started as a small
            shop along the street.”
The shop owner thinks that when his frequent customers
go there to buy his food, he feels happy, knowing that
they are loyal customers. With the support of their
friends and family, they feel so glad to continue the shop
and pass it down to the next generation when they get
older. Most customers say their food has a lot of flavours
due to the secret family recipe.
but he persevered and worked hard for his family and
He wakes up early, anytime between 3:15 am and 5:30 himself. The lesson I have learnt from him is never to
am, depending on how much they have to prepare. He give up; no matter how arduous the journey is, the result
will drive to the shop and start to prepare for the day. will always be worth the trouble.
There are many things to prepare, like dough since their
noodles are handmade, fish paste for their fish balls,
and more! They open at 8:00 am and close at 9:00 pm,
which is a very long day for them. He has written a small “The hawker wakes up before sunrise to

Overall, this hawker enjoys his job seeing his frequent tough the journey is.”
customers and new customers come to their stall to try
out his food! It has been a rough journey for this hawker,
