DARREN SOH
Award-winning photographer Darren Soh was trained as a sociologist and once contemplated full-time
academia but realised he much prefers creating photographs than writing about them. He is most happy
when making images, whether it is for himself or for clients from Singapore and around the world.
In 2009, Darren was selected by Photo District News (PDN) Magazine to be one of PDN’s 30 New
and Emerging Photographers to watch.

Darren is also a Founding Member of the NYAA Young Photographers’ Network and was appointed
a Sony Alpha Professional photographer in 2015. Some of his awards include the International
Photography Awards (2009), Photo District News Annual, for F1scapes – Landscapes from the
Singapore GP 2008 (2009), Asia Travel and Tourism Creative Awards (2008), 24th Annual Nikon/
PDN Self-promo Awards, 1st Place (2008), Prix de la Photographie, Paris, “Nature” 1st Place, Public’s
Choice Award (2007), Commonwealth Photographic Awards (2004) and the Photo District News
Photography Annual (2004).
Most recently, Darren published a book titled Before It All Goes, documenting buildings and spaces in
Singapore that have been demolished or are in danger of being demolished. Passionate about his craft,
Darren also conducted many talks and workshops to inspire young people in photography.

BRYAN VAN DER BEEK
Bryan van der Beek is an award-winning commercial and editorial photographer based in Singapore.
His images span Asia, North America and Europe.
A former Executive Photojournalist with The Straits Times in Singapore, Bryan has also worked with
newspapers in the United States. His photographs have appeared in several international publications
including: Time, Time Asia, Newsweek and The Washington Post. In addition, his photographs known
