underscore the significant impact that such a simple yet effective solution can have on reducing the carbon footprint of the
machinery servicing industry.
Beyond environmental benefits, the Parts Washer has also shown promise in generating substantial cost savings. By reducing
energy and water consumption, businesses can lower their operational expenses. The estimated annual savings, based on
average Singapore prices, indicate that significant financial gains can be realised.
While the data collected provides valuable insights, it is essential to acknowledge the limitations of a short-term study. A longer-
term analysis would give a more accurate assessment of the long-term environmental and financial impacts. Nonetheless, the
initial results are encouraging and suggest that the Parts Washer can be a valuable tool in achieving sustainable practices within
the industry.
In conclusion, the Parts Washer has emerged as a compelling solution for reducing CO2 emissions and optimising operational
costs in the machinery servicing sector. By adopting such innovative technologies, businesses can contribute to a greener future
while enhancing their bottom line. As the industry continues to evolve, it is essential to explore and implement sustainable
practices that minimise environmental impact and maximise economic benefits.
Student's Reflection
It’s been a fun experience of getting the Parts Washer with Stewart Engineering because we learn
a lot along the way, as we were discussing on how and what machine that helps with environment,
costs and energy.
Working with the Part Washer Machine:
After using the Part Washer for a few months, we realized that it was the best equipment that we
ever used. When we used the Part Washer, we only used a little bit of clean diesel because the
machine uses the circulation system which leads to less chemical wastage and money wastage
because we do not need to refill very often. After we finished using the machine, we did not need
to dispose the clean diesel compared to manual cleaning procedure which need to be disposed of

B Kamis everyday which led to more waste”.
