PA CHIEFS OF POLICE ASSOCIATION
CODY | EXECUTIVE Q&A WITH CHIEF JASON GAGORIK, WHITEHALL BOROUGH PD
6. What other 3rd party tools are integrated with
your CODY software?
We have a seamless integration with our Pennsylvania
TraCS system for Crashes, Citations, Non-Traffic
Citations, and Warnings. This interface saves time
by eliminating duplicate data entry and reducing the
inherent human error that comes when retyping data.
We are also submitting our State and Federal NIBRS
Reports directly through the system.
7. How has your department adapted to the new
platform? What were some pitfalls and how
did CODY come to your aid?
Our dispatchers and patrol officers experienced a
largely seamless transition. Adapting to the new
reporting features in Pathfinder took our Administrator
some time to get used to, but as new features and
functionality comes in each update, this has gotten
easier and easier.
Throughout the process, our CODY project manager
and support team have remained consistently
engaged and supportive, providing guidance and
partnership every step of the way. Most recently,
we shared a document we developed on record
expungements and CODY is now using it to help build
an online training series for other agencies. That level
of collaboration, responsiveness, and commitment to
shared success truly sets CODY apart.
8. What are some of you/your staff’s favorite
features in the Pathfinder platform?
We love having the Dashboard to get a quick look
at data and information that each user needs to see
immediately when we log in. We also love the ability
to quickly scroll through ‘recents’ – recently viewed
incidents, people, vehicle records we have worked
on. This is a huge time saver since we don’t have to
constantly run searches to get this valuable info. It’s
right there in front of them.
