kits will be provided to law enforcement
agencies thanks to this program. The
officers who were trained have processed
193 crime scenes and have identified 14
offenders thanks to the equipment and skills
provided by this program.
cNet 2.0 RMS and Pre-Booking Module
As you may
know, cNet 2.0
is a robust and
cost-effective
RMS that is
owned by the
PCPA, and
administered by
DataWorks Plus.
In addition to
the traditional
RMS features, cNet 2.0 currently has many
useful tools built in such as automatic NIBRS
data capture from incident reports, one-click
submission to PSP, integrated validation and
error guidance.
More improvements are forthcoming to enable
us to have an advanced analytics module,
which will allow police agencies to better
analyze and leverage their data. The software
will help to easily identify crime patterns and
trends while also allowing agencies to share
crime data on their public-facing websites.
We are also working on the creation of a
pre-booking module. This will be especially
valuable for agencies that currently lack a built-
in pre-booking system in their RMS. Officers
will access the per-booking module through
the Jnet portal and be able to enter booking
data, which will then be seamlessly transferred
to booking systems, reducing redundancy
and eliminating the need to input the same
information multiple times.
Livescan/ CPIN Booking Center
Information
The PCPA were recently informed that some
models of the TP 5300 livescan deck are being
end-of-lifed by the manufacturer in 2027. The
systems that were installed in 2014 and 2015
are the first to reach end- of- life and will need
to be replaced in 2027. There are 58 local sites
affected, and the cost to replace these decks
will be $12,275.
The replacement decks will be Crossmatch
decks and will fit into current cabinets with no
alterations. They will function just as the Idemia
decks did, and the software will not change.
DataWorksPlus will install the new decks at no
additional cost.
There is currently no grant funding available to
assist agencies with this upcoming expense.
It is suggested that you immediately start
budgeting for this expense. If you have any
questions or need anything additional on this
subject, please contact Jerry Miller at jmiller@
pachiefs.org, of (717) 236-1059 x104.
