Central PA Choral Festival
From 1983 to 1998, the Susquehanna Chorale and the Chamber Singers of Harrisburg jointly sponsored the Central Pennsylvania Choral Festival. The festival’s unique and innovative format offered smaller regional choirs the opportunity to perform major works under the direction of internationally renowned guest conductors. Exposing local singers to conductors like Robert Page, Gregg Smith, Dale Warland, and many others exemplified the Chorale’s deep commitment to providing access to choral pedagogy at the highest level, while fostering a collaborative spirit among the area’s vocal ensembles.
