Molly Masser, Administrator
Molly Masser provides support for the Susquehanna Chorale’s artistic and operational activities, its concerts and special performances, and for the Educational Outreach Program choirs for children and youth.
Ms. Masser has extensive experience as a high school
music teacher, and a theater, choral, and band director. She recently retired from the Northern Lebanon School District. Throughout her career, she supervised all aspects of more than 30 drama and musical productions. She also conducted choral and band ensembles. In addition, Ms. Masser is accomplished on several instruments, with emphasis on piano and French horn.
Ms. Masser earned undergraduate and master’s degrees in Music Education from Lebanon Valley College.
Sean Devine, Director of Development
Sean Devine joined the Chorale as Director of Development and Marketing in the spring of 2021. Inspired by his experience as a singer with the Susquehanna Youth Chorale, he began a career of vocal ensemble performance after
college. Mr. Devine received a B.S. degree in organizational leadership and has worked in various aspects of marketing and development. He has served as the Director of Development, Regional Director, and Planned Giving Manager for Harmony Foundation International since 2008. In 2015-2016 he served as the manager of a $9 million capital campaign for the Salvation Army in Harrisburg, and in that same year he founded Parkside Harmony, a 50-voice ensemble in Hershey, PA, where he oversees all aspects of its administration as President and Artistic Director.
Barry Kroeker, Director of Marketing
Barry Kroeker is a professional musician with
a master’s degree from the University of Hartford Hartt School of Music. He served as Assistant Professor of Music at Penn State for eight years. His marketing and communications
background includes more than two decades of corporate experience with CANNON Instrument Company and EnergyCAP, Inc., where he managed documentation and various marketing channels including print and digital publications, website, CRM software, pay-per-click, and email campaigns. Mr. Kroeker received his undergraduate music degree in performance from Wheaton College.
Karen Lynch, Administrative Assistant
Karen Lynch holds a BS degree in Music Education and a BA in Psychology from Lebanon Valley College. She taught middle school and high school vocal music in the Brandywine Heights School District, as well
as elementary music in the Blue Mountain School District. She also taught vocal music and chorus in grades K-8 in the Palmyra Area School District. In addition to directing several elementary and high school musicals during her tenure at Palmyra, Ms. Lynch has also been involved in her community as a church choir director. After graduating with her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Millersville University, she taught first and second grades for the remainder of
her career. She retired in 2021, having been in education for thirty-one years. She is a singer in the soprano section of
the Susquehanna Chorale and also serves on the Board of Directors.
Bob Buyers, Children/Youth Chorale Coordinator
Bob Buyers, a native of western NY state, came to the Harrisburg area directly from college. After 10 years as an elementary school teacher, he made a career change and became an employee of, and has since retired from,
the Commonwealth of PA. He has been involved with the Susquehanna Chorale for over 30 years, at various times as a singer, and has also served as a board member and Youth Coordinator for the Educational Outreach Program. Always active in church music ministry, he has held music positions in several area churches. He currently serves as Organist/ Choir Director at Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Enola, PA.
