Greetings, everyone! It’s Ken Zipovsky, and I’m pleased
to bring you the winter edition of our training and
technology update. Work is almost finished on the four
new 2025 MIST training courses.

Mandatory Courses:

o Law Enforcement Response to Homeless
Persons

o Elder Abuse and Exploitation
We are still on track for a January 1st rollout of the MIST
training. The PCPA is committed to enhancing our
officers’ knowledge and readiness. We will also have
new items on the PAVTN by the end of the year.

Child Pornography Investigations

Report Writing for physical and sexual abuse
A new promotional video highlighting the training
offered on the PAVTN will also be completed shortly
and will be used for awareness and promotion of the
training offered on the PAVTN.

goal at the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association is

Mobile Fingerprint Identification Devices
The association continues to administer the Mobile ID
project for Pennsylvania’s law enforcement agencies.
