Debbie Butcher
Deborah (Debbie) Butcher is an accomplished nonprofit leader, having
served at both the board and staff levels for several community
organizations. She is the Executive Director of the Miss PA Scholarship
Foundation, Inc., the official licensee of the Miss America Organization,
the largest provider of scholarships to young women in the nation.
Debbie served as a communications and development professional for
the Penn Laurel Girl Scout Council and York County Community
Foundation, winning regional and national awards for her work. A former
titleholder in Pennsylvania, she also served as board president for a local
scholarship organization and a mentor to many young women.
Debbie holds dual bachelor degrees in speech communications and
music from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. She is a classically-
trained vocalist who has performed in several choral groups, from the
local stage to Carnegie Hall. She continues to share her love of music
both as a performer as well as a teacher, regularly conducting a
“Broadway My Way” program at Penn State York’s Osher Lifelong
Learning Institute.
A leader in her local community, Debbie is a graduate of Leadership
York’s Leadership Training Program. Among her many community service
efforts is time as Ambassador Mom and revenue chair for the March of
Dimes largest fundraiser, the March for Babies.

Michael J. Austin has performed and originated leading roles, as
an actor and singer, throughout the United States and
internationally in more than 40+ countries with Live Nation
Concerts, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Broadway Asia, Big Concerts
South Africa, Dreamworks Theatricals, Cartoon Network UK, SES
Live Abu Dhabi, Celebrity Cruises, The Atlanta Opera, The Fulton
Theatre, Maine State Music Theatre, and many more. He was
also a Lead Singer at American Music Theatre between 2011-
2021. Michael is the Head of Entertainment for the historic
Strasburg Rail Road, creating, designing, directing, and
managing all of their entertainment and event offerings each
season. Additionally, he was an Event and Logistics Manager for
companies including Microsoft, Omni, The Hershey Company,
Sheraton, and more. Michael has also served as a Producer for
numerous concerts, musicals, and staged readings, up and down
the east coast. He lives between Lancaster and the United
Kingdom with his spouse and their two dogs Bea and Oliver.
