                 Definition

                 Recount Text is a text that retell events or experiences that

                 occurred  in  the  past.  For  example,  last  year  event,  last
                 month event, or even yesterday event. events that are retold

                 in  Recount  Text  can  be  experiences  such  as  holidays,

                 competitions, or birthdays.



                 Generic Structure

                 Orientation

                 This section is the opening part of the text or introduction

                 that  contains  the  background  of  an  incident,  such  as  who
                 was involved, or when and where the incident occurred.




                 Series of Events
                 This section is part of the content of the text that contains a

                 series of sequential events experienced by the writer.




                 Reorientation
                 This  section  is  the  closing  of  the  text  that  contains  the

                 conclusions, messages, impressions, or feelings of the writer

                 on the events experienced.



                 Language Features

                 Using simple past tense

                 - Subject + Verb 2
                 - Subject + be + complement




                 Adverb of time                  Adverb of sequence

                 - Yesterday                        - First

                 - Last week                        - Then
                 - Last moth                        - After that

                 - etc.                                   - etc.
