Practice Mindful Communication
Communication theories can get deep, real fast. The simplest definition of mindfulness is the quality or state of being conscious or aware
of something. That said, the easiest way to always keep the flow of communication open and healthy is by being mindful. Avoid adopting a passive communication style as a professional. Meaning, don’t assume someone knows something, and don’t hesitate to ask if something isn’t clear to you.
It’s a valuable concept in a conventional work environment, but it becomes even more critical in a remote setting for distributed teams. By being aware that communication must be a top priority each day, you pave the way for not only high-quality work that you deliver but also illustrate that you’re a highly effective and productive communicator.
