Role in the PA: I am part of an amazing frontline team that is responsible for the supervision of FirstRand Limited (FirstRand). I am responsible for the analysis and oversight of the following risk areas of FirstRand: market risk, equity risk, operational risk and IT risk as well as risk data aggregation and risk reporting (RDARR). As supervisors, we monitor the financial performance and operations of banks to ensure that they operate safely and soundly and follow rules and regulations. By doing so, we protect customers against the risk of banks failing to meet their obligations.
Fun fact: I enjoy cooking for my family because I like food (very important) and it’s very therapeutic, especially after my duties as an unofficial teacher (homework time). My other interests are listening to good music (DJ May, inside joke), visiting family/friends and online shopping (anything from groceries to clothes/shoes).
