   Role in the PA
While new regulations or regulatory requirements can bring along benefits to the regulated sector as well as the broader economy, they can at times result in unintended consequences, both economically and socially and may lead to increased costs for the regulated entities and financial customers. It is important to ensure that the solutions proposed through regulatory requirements are balanced with the other PA policy priorities and objectives. My main role in the PA is to ensure that this is done.
Fun fact
I enjoy hiking and cycling the most. I have in the past tried playing tennis and squash. I am not that bad at squash but terrible at tennis.
What is the hardest part about working virtually for you?
It’s the silence after the end of a meeting. No side chats or quick catchups as would be normal with a physical meeting when exiting the boardroom and heading back to our respective workstations.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
There is nothing that you cannot accomplish as long as you have the right attitude and apply yourself in the direction of what you are seeking to achieve.
What book read/movie seen recently would you recommend and why?
The richest man in Babylon by George S Clason. It is the best book I have ever read that contains loads of wisdom on personal wealth and financial management. It is interesting how some things never change given that the setting of the book is in ancient times before the introduction of money as many of us now know it.
