making requests above to your peers or people who are
very familiar with you. However, in fact, usage like the
example above is not necessarily well received, because
it gives the impression of ordering or giving orders.
The form of expression above is called an imperative
sentence, or a command sentence.
Imperative sentences are used to give an order directly
without further ado. So, the use of imperative
sentences is not polite to make requests, especially to
older people.
