the players have shown the skills and spirit that any team must you. The support at RPV has been fantastic, proud, noisy, pas-
have to compete at the highest levels. We know players are sionate and growing by the week. Seeing stalwarts of the club
working - really WORKING - on improving parts of their game like Brian ‘ Biggsy’ Biggs alongside young fans and their chil-
and we see that every week. dren and hearing the new songs from the self-styled Vale Ultras
Players cajoling, castigating, applauding their team-mates has been wonderful and, as this season draws to a close it is the
ne of the joys of football at this level is being so close to supporters like you that, more than anything else, have trans-
Othe action and we see, every game the determination on formed the football world of SW20. We have, at RPV, the finest
the pitch - players cajoling, castigating, applauding their team- players, management, staff and fans that we could wish for and,
mates to drive them on to success. We know of arguments and as we start to look forward to 22/23 we have only one thing to
pressure within the ranks when that determination becomes say to the CCL Prem for the new season: BRING. IT. ON.
so strong. I can think of no other team that matches RPV for John Dalton
that kind of passion. Even more ‘on the pitch’ is Steve Regan,
our Head Groundskeeper who has worked tirelessly to keep Chairman, Raynes Park Vale F.C.
our pitch in a good playable state - and anyone who has been
around this club for any length of time knows how big a job
that is! In the back-office Helen has been driving the changes
needed to make Vale not just a great football team but a great
place to come to visit. This programme that you’re reading now
has become a part of the RPV matchday experience - even with
the occasional typos and bad jokes! ‘Into The Vale’ gets put
together by a small team of volunteers - Dom Tait, Mark Fer-
rari and Karl who also provides every fantastic photo that you
see anywhere around the club and who also puts together the
brilliant on-line programme as well as doing so much around
the club. Marc Skinner, of course, is simply The Man Who Can
at Grand Drive and there is barely any work or
improvement around the club that doesn’t
have his name attached to it somewhere!
The list goes on and I will make sure
that they all get recognized before
the end of the season but I’ll save
the last and biggest thanks for
                                                                Continued...
