Malden Vale vs Chertsey Town
Division 2 - 10th October, 1989
Vale were looking to get back on track
after the disappoinment of a 3-1 dea-
feat to Hythe Town in the F.A.Vase at
the weekend. Second in the
table Vale were up against
fourth from bottom Chert-
sey Town. A goal from
Vale's Gerry Crook sep-
arated the teams, and so by avoiding
any cock-ups they could celebrate the
result in the Vale Bar or the bizarrely Malden Vale vs. Chertsey Town
named Cock-Up Cafe at the back of the

Chertsey Town went on to win
the F.A. Vase in 2019 and were
crowned Premier League Champi-
ons in the same year.
