performances in the Buildbase FA Vase - the competition that we're
          here to enjoy today.
The one thing that Raynes Park Vale have in common with the other
thirty-one teams playing today from North Shields to Littlehampton is
that we have proven ourselves to be amongst the best in the country at
our level. To be in the final thirty-two of a competition that saw over
four hundred teams entered is no mean feat and one that both our
opponents today, Stansfeld FC, and ourselves here at Raynes Park Vale
          should feel justifiably proud of.
It is for this reason that we celebrate today as an historic date in the
club's history and why you'll notice that your copy of 'Into The Vale' -
the official matchday programme of Raynes Park Vale - is particularly
          focussed on todays fixture.
We want to win this competition
All games matter and, here at The Vale, we want to win each and every
one of them, including today's and we want to win this competition
as much as any of the teams who have made it this far, but sometimes
it's worth pausing, turning around and looking back to see how far we
have come and to enjoy a moment of pride and satisfaction...
before looking ahead once more, determined to get to reach ever high-
          er goals.
We welcome Stansfeld FC, their staff and supporters to Grand Drive
today to enjoy this fixture. I hope you all have a fantastic footballing
occasion, meet other fans and players and enjoy a great day out at
Raynes Park Vale and I look forward to meeting as
many of you as I can! John Dalton

                                                      Chairman,
                                                      Raynes Park Vale F.C.
