CHAIRMAN'S NOTES
Continued from previous page...
There will always be opposition players and, as we have sadly
seen on occasions, opposition management teams who will at-
tempt to wind-up players and influence referees. Referees will
always make some mistakes and players will always target op-
position players who they think might have a short fuse, but we
can’t afford to let discipline cost us games.
We have the most dedicated squad in the CCL Premier with the
best spirit and there’s a bright future ahead with plans to see us
succeed – but as both fans and players we need to keep our heads.
We’re in a small dip just now and any club will tell you that it’s
at these times that the spirit and belief of a club is tested. This
is Raynes Park and we don’t just sing when we’re winning – ex-
cept when we’re on the Billy Ocean song ‘When The Going Gets
Tough – The Tough Get Going’. That's going to be a good club
karaoke night!!!
Today we welcome Steyning Town Community FC – a real com-
munity, volunteer-run club with a rich history and I look for-
ward to meeting as many of our visitors as possible!
Come On You Vale!
