          The club was founded in
          April 1947 as part of the
          british overseas Airways
          Corporation’s Social and
          Sporting Club.
          When bEA & boAC air-
          lines merged in 1974 to
          become british Airways
          it took another 8 years
          before the football teams
          amalgamated to become
          british Airways Football
          Section.
