oday we play host to Westside at ‘The Lane’ and a
Twarm welcome awaits their players, officials and
supporters.
It seems a bit strange welcoming Westside to Chalky Lane, as tenants
they’ve actually played one league game more than us here this season,
so it will probably feel like a home match for them. We’re expecting an
entertaining game, if our opening matches are anything to go by (be-
tween them both sides have scored a total of 16 goals in their first three
matches!). So, in theory, there should be plenty of goals.
We are hoping to have a full squad for today’s match, with players re-
covered from injury and others returning from holiday. We also have
Gonzalo Esteller-Valverde available to make his home debut, after his
international clearance came through the previous week.
On Bank Holiday Monday we’ll be travelling to the Meadowbank Foot-
ball Ground, home of Dorking Wanderers and will be looking for a re-
peat of last season’s 1-3 win against them, we also beat them 3-1 at
Chalky Lane, so they won’t be relishing the prospect of facing us.
