Combined Counties League 10th of August 2019 Chalky Lane
nother convincing win for United,
Aalthough the omens didn’t look fa-
vourable before the match, with 12 play-
ers unavailable for selection and against
a side that had beaten them twice in the
league last season.
Bedfont & Feltham started brightly, but
solid defending and good work in mid-
field allowed Fabian O’Brien to make
forays down the right-wing and Ellis
Lentell’s speed to cause problems on the
left flank. The pressure paid dividends
when Anthony Ogbanufe was brought
down by the keeper in the penalty area,
O’Brien scoring from the spot after thirty
minutes. United extended their lead be-
fore half-time, again O’Brien down the
right wing, put in a superb cross for Len-
tell to score a delightful header.
Bedfont & Feltham came out fighting in
the second half, pressing for an equaliser wins out of two for the blues. Ogbanufe
but never really troubling Michael Wil- could have scored two but was denied
liams in goal. United always looked more by the goalkeeper, diving low to his left
likely to score again, and after sixty min- to make the save. The substitutes Mofe
utes, Man of the Match O’Brien round- Ejiko for Nana Nsowah, Dammy Nick-
ed the left-back, finding Ogbanufe at the els for Ogbanufe and Jake Mongston for
back post to score United’s third, ensur- O’Brien, had little time to make an im-
ing the three points and making it two pact, but the game was already sewn up
