Good afternoon and welcome to Chalky
Lane for today's game. An extended wel-
come to all connected to Deportivo as well
                                 as the match officials.

This time last week we were hoping to bounce back from our Vase defeat and
have done so earning three points against a determined Eversley side. The
game itself wasn't the most entertaining but I felt that we definitely had enough
of the play to warrant the three points going our way. The most pleasing thing
was our substitutes making an impact and helping us on our way, showing our
         depth beyond the starting eleven.
Tuesday was a well earned point, despite having the better of the play in my
opinion we didn't necessarily have the chances to categorically say we deserved
all three points and a point a piece was probably about right. Fortunately the
handbag throwing at the end of the evening didn't lead to any serious issues or
further injuries to which we have suffered our fair share already this season.
On the injury front it was good to have Julien Saka back in the fold on Tuesday
night but unfortunately Ben Ewing has aggravated his ankle injury and is ex-
pected to be out for a further three weeks. George Isaacs also left the field early
on with an ankle problem during the week and he'll miss out this afternoon
as will Pedro Moco, also suffering with swelling to his ankle. On to the posi-
tives and Jake Baynton will soldier through despite a rib injury picked up on
Tuesday along with Dammy Nickles who missed most of pre-season and the
opening weeks of the season is now fully recovered. Ben Thorne has also been
building up minutes with the U23's but isn't quite ready for 1st team action.
Today's game will certainly be a real test if our last meeting is anything to go
by. A heavy defeat at their Bedfont home was a real low during my short spell
at the back end of the season so we'll have to be at our very best if we are to
reverse that result today. I certainly have the faith and belief in this group of
player's and as I have said before, it's going to be important to be consistent
and to date we have been, particularly here at 'The Lane'.
Here's to another good performance and hopefully three very important
         points.

                              Glen Nichols
