Agave Chessington & Hook United the
lead after 30 minutes against fourth in the
table Sandhurst Town. Sandhurst piled on
the pressure searching for an equaliser which
arrived 10 minutes later. The score remained
1-1 at half-time in what was an evenly fought
contest with chances at both ends.
Two minutes into the second half United
again took the lead through an excellent goal
from Ellis Lentell, Chessington & Hook’s
leading goalscorer this season.
Sandhurst again came from behind to even
up the score and the game finished 2-2.
United will be disappointed to have twice
taken the lead and not come away with a win,
but today’s result was an improvement on the
previous two defeats in the league and cup at
Bottom Meadow, earlier in the season. Sand-
hurst will be frustrated to have come away
with a draw and not to have gained ground
on their promotion rivals.
