Grand Drive

Before the road named Grand Drive became associated with the
finest team in South London it was...well...pretty much the same
as it is now! Much of the commercial activity looks the same with a
cafe still in place and the roundabout by the old Beverley pub still
in existence. But it's hard to picture the road we now travel along to
get to Raynes Park Vale being as quiet as it is in this picture - just a
few pedestrians and casually parked pushbikes instead of the queues
of traffic. Of course, without RPV, why would anyone be travelling
along this grand old street?!
