                                 Good afternoon and welcome to

                                 Chalky Lane for today's game.
I extend that to Steve and his Westside
team as well as their committee and the
                                 match officials.

The game will see two teams that many will be surprised to see
occupying positions at the top of the table but as they say, the table
doesn't lie and it will hopefully throw up an entertaining match.

This time last year I was coming out of retirement and putting my
boots back on for our opponents after many years away from the field.
It was a very enjoyable experience and I thoroughly enjoyed my short
spell there but my attention is now fully focused on getting a team
towards the top end of the table as a manager as opposed to a player.
It was good to get back to winning ways last week after a draw and a
defeat prior to that and we did so deservedly, scoring some good goals
in the process against a tidy Dorking side.
Overall we are pleased with the way things are going but there is
always room for improvement both on and off the field and as a club I
think we are now constantly striving for that. The environment is good
and there are things happening on what seems to be a daily basis for
the better of the club as a whole. It's nice to see and I hope personal-
ly to have a big impact and influence on progressing the club back to
where I believe we belong, in the Premier Division as a Step 5 club and
           hopefully beyond in good time.

I hope you all have an enjoyable day and a safe journey back home
           afterwards.

           Enjoy the game.

                           Glen Nichols
