Earlier this month police were called to an old commercial prop-
erty in Kingston Road when a suspected Second World War
ordnance was discovered there. The device was taken to Prince
George's Playing Fields at Raynes Park, where, after the entire
area was sealed off, a controlled explosion was carried out and the
ordnance was made safe.
