Chessington & Hook United’s recent match against Jersey Bulls was featured in the
Monday, 5th of February edition of the Daily Mail.

he British Crown dependency of Jersey lies 14 miles from the French coast, and
Tuntil now, has been notable for cows, low taxation, the TV series Bergerac and
being occupied by the Nazis during the Second World War.
Last year the St Helier football team Jersey Bulls gained admittance to the Com-
bined Counties League Division One, and have remained unbeaten after 23 games,
scoring 90 goals and conceding only 7, they will be promoted to the Premier League
at their first attempt. Some would argue that the resources and money available to
the team and also the pick of the finest players from the Island, means the Jersey
Bulls have a massive advantage over the other teams in the league, but they would
probably argue that they had to start somewhere and there would have been an out-
cry if they’d been admitted to a higher league without working their way up.
It only remains to be seen whether any team in the division can go on to beat Jersey
Bulls (or even manage a draw).
The Premier League next season might present a much tougher challenge.
