RAYNES PARK
Raynes Park Tavern
Long before the days of a family welcome many pubs were curtained
off from the outside world and 'lock-ins' were still a 'thing'. Today The
Raynes Park Tavern, as it's now called, is a friendly, local, thriving pub
directly opposite the railway station, with football on multiple screens
and is the post-match home of many amateur league teams on a Satur-
day and Sunday. Back when this photo was taken the Raynes Park was...
well...let's just say that it was 'an institution'. For any RPV fans or visi-
tors who fancy a pint after the game, get a slice of Raynes Park heritage
at this infamous boozer. And there are no police vans parked outside on a
Friday and Saturday night anymore!!
