Most Holy Trinity Leadership has played a huge part in I have been in the GLVN program for all 8th years
my life within the last 5 years. For around 43 weeks a at Most Holy Trinity Church. I’ve met a lot of
year, for 5 years, not only has it inspired me, it has people that I consider as my close friends! I am
shaped me. I can remember my first day of class in thankful for all of the fun memories. After
Mhtl, I didn’t know a single person, but after a couple confirmation, I signed up to be a TA for 6th grade
ice breakers and activities I came out with more friends with my friend Derek. Saturdays were the happiest
than I could count on one hand. And those friends day of the week for me! Being a TA helped me get

various events. We were like a train cruising through was a way for me to bond with Derek. I was able to
events such as youth rally, socks drive, incendio, and get closer to Derek as we will talk while we grade
appreciation dinner, picking up friends along the way the homework. My public speaking skills have also
and dropping just as many off at their next destination improved, especially since I had to take attendance
in life. Many tears were shed and many laughs were
shared, but at the end of the day we did it together. as a TA. When I went to college, I became less
And as I sit here reminiscing about past experiences active and took some time off from TA. I would
within mhtl, while listening to an old retreat playlist come to some events because some of my friends
from years ago, I can only think about how my peers were still TA’s. I was amazed by the performances
have shaped me for the better, and how one day, I want and games at the Tết shows. I was proud to be a
to be as inspiring as them, not just in mhtl, but to Vietnamese Catholic. It made me realize how rude
everyone that I call family. Sure many things have and ungrateful I was when I didn’t pay attention to
changed, and many people I will not see again, but các thầy cô lessons.

family, will always hold a special place in my heart, I teacher for Most Holy Trinity Post-Confirmation, I
can be anywhere at anytime, all I need to do is press grew more knowledge in faith and Vietnamese
the big green start button on a certain playlist, and I culture. This was the community and family that I
will feel at home. was searching for.

Most Holy Trinity Leadership is filled with unique Throughout the GLVN program, I have learned
individuals but we all work together so well together many lessons in the classroom whether it involved
and are like one big family. We all help and build each learning about the bible, God, or VN, I felt that I was
other, and no one is ever left feeling behind or able to really apply the lessons that I learned. One of
excluded. We create a welcoming and open space and I my favorite memories was during MHTL where I
love we are comfortable being and expressing learned more about being a leader, a friend, and a
ourselves. I was a student in this program for 2 years, better person for my community. Not only did I meet
and this is my first year as staff and here’s why I love
this class: that family feeling is what stands out to me one of my closest friends, I still keep in touch with
the most. Everyone always supports each other and we her and we often update each other wherever we get
always ensure that everyone leaves class with a smile the chance to. When needed, we pray for each
on their face. I’ve met some of the most selfless, kind other’s well being, health, and happiness and that we
people to the most funny people who never fail to are following God’s plan for us.
make me laugh. I’ve also met mentors and people who As I went to college, I became a little disconnected
will always have my back no matter what…I know I from church, but finding my footing again in faith
can always come to them if I ever need to talk. This led me to being a teacher at Most Holy Trinity Post-
program is like no other that I’ve experience…it is not Confirmation leadership. Connecting and growing
boring at all and every week it is filled with fun with the students as well as the person I am now
activities that connects with the faith in a way that is gives me fulfillment and happiness. My experience
enjoyable and easy to understand, so I always look with Most Holy Trinity during and post highschool
forward to class. I can see the growth in myself and I has definitely impacted my life for the better and I
know that the people in this class have helped me look forward to living a life of faith.
better myself. Most Holy Trinity Leadership has
become my family and I know they will have my
           back no matter what.
