JANUARY HIGHLIGHTS
After many hours of dedicated work, the yearbook staff is pleased to announce that the 2019
yearbook won the ALL NJ Platinum Award in the Garden State Scholastic Press Association contest.
The book received accolades in many categories and was the highest-scoring book in the state.
The judges said, “The staff has done an excellent job of capturing the story of the year in words.
The designs are clean, consistent and well-planned. The idea that everyone has a story is current.
‘Dear Donovan’ is a nice spin on this.”
The staff also sent the book to the Columbia
Scholastic Press Association where they received a
Gold Award. By sending the book for critique each
year, the staff is able to continue learning in the
journey of their mission to create the best book
possible to record the memories of the year.
Kudos to the co-editors of the 2019 yearbook,
MaryJo Kelly ‘19, Caroline Schwartz ‘19,
Olivia Haye ‘19 and Caitlin Chiu ‘19 who 26
worked under the direction of the yearbook
advisor, Ms. Christine Mooney.
