Technology
Media Arts
The Media Arts program helps student develop and refine skills necessary to produce
news-based shows and promotional videos. Students’ creativity will be challenged with
group projects. Students will learn innovative and advanced software that will better
prepare them for their future in video creation and editing
Music technology
This program will familiarize students with the application
of computer technology to music production, digital
recording, audio recording & editing and more.
Show production
This program is a non-credited extracurricular activity that
meets weekly during Flex and supplies sound, light and stage for
all rehearsals and performances on the Donovan stage.
Digital Publishing Yearbook I & II
Digital Publishing Yearbook 1 is a junior elective where students learn how to visually
and verbally create and develop a relevant theme, conduct an interview, write stories &
captions, use Adobe InDesign to design, place and format copy and photographs for a
story. Student also use Photoshop to create, crop and apply filters to photos.
As seniors in Digital Publishing Yearbook 2, students continue to perfect the skills
learned in Digital Publishing Yearbook 1, but they also take on the responsibility of pub-
lishing the entire yearbook. Editors plan deadlines, assign jobs, and devise marketing
strategies, which include the use of social media. Editors and staff members work in a
real-life work environment to meet production deadlines.
