Bands
Mr. Harold Frazee—Director—hfrazee@donovancatholic.org
Donovan Catholic is equally blessed to have a band program in place for students who simply
love to play music. All are welcome to join our band program from the complete novice to
the experienced musician. All that is necessary is a love of music, a positive attitude and the
desire to learn.
Concert Band
The Grifftones perform at our annual Winter and Spring Concerts, the Spaghetti Dinner,
fundraisers and various community events.
Jazz Rock Ensemble
An extension of The Grifftones, members are chosen through audition. This award-winning
group performs selected jazz and rock music at our concerts, and community events such as
the Annual Toms River Halloween Parade.
Guitar Ensemble, Keyboard Ensemble, String Ensemble & Percussion Ensemble
These are also extensions of The Grifftones and consist of students who previously played
these instruments. 36
