MARCH HIGHLIGHTS
s Chris Hrycenko ‘07, one of our art teachers shared
this: When I had time over the last 2 weeks I decided
to paint in order to get my mind off of the recent
events in the news. I truly miss school spirit.
MaryBeth DeBlasio, one of our religion teachers,
responded: What a beautiful reminder to all of us of
the healing power of the arts! The Griffin, in medieval
times, was used to represent the human and the
divine nature of Jesus Christ. God is with us!
Foundations of Art students are working
on their project based on the close-up
paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe. They had
to draw a chosen object in 3 different
value techniques: pencil shading,
cross-hatching, and stippling.
