Guiding students
Each student at Donovan is provided with a support system that promotes well-being and
encourages the development of strong interpersonal skills and assigned a counselor that will
stand by them from the first day until graduation.
The college preparation process begins in freshmen year to help younger student identify
their talents and interests and continues each year guiding students and helping them
through the application processes, college essays and more.
Donovan’s curriculum provides four levels of study with
College Preparatory, Honors, Advanced
Placement/College Level and International
Baccalaureate as well as a vast variety of electives
to keep their schedules well rounded.
As the only high school authorized as an International
Baccalaureate World School in Ocean County, our
upper class students have the opportunity to enroll in
our International Baccalaureate Diploma Program or one
of our many Dual Enrollment Courses that provide
students will college credits.
With a group effort, we help guide students onto the path that’s right for them from
analyzing individual surveys in Naviance, to meeting with students during our Flex period
several times a year to evening workshops with parents to explain the processes. Students
and parents are also guided to sources to help with financial aid and scholarships for college.
