A FOND FAREWELL
In 2018 it was difficult to watch our earthquake-prone building reduced to rubble. While it was sad to see it come down, it was exciting to see the new hospice take shape. Before the building came down, we held a series of farewell events to give people an opportunity to say goodbye to the historic building. A Farewell Service, Community Farewell Celebration and Reflection Walk were held. Many people walked through the hospice building one last time, leaving messages and drawings on the walls in memory of their loved ones.
