Simtec Systems – German innovation in motion!
Simtec is one of the leading entertainment attraction suppliers, especially for flying theatres, customized simulator systems, motion simulator rides (closed and open cabin) as well as interactive dark rides.
NEw DEvElOpmENT: hEXaFliTE®2.0 Flying Theatre
With more than 15 successful HEXaFLITE® Flying Theater installations worldwide, Simtec’s engineers were faced with the challenge of developing an even more spectacular HEXaFLITE® system – the HEXaFLITE®2.0 with brand new features:
• The motion system can be started in the loading position. This is a unique feature that no other Flying Theatre can provide.
• The seats can be tilted backwards to face people to the theatre ceiling area where optional an additional projection or decoration can be placed to enhance the ride experience.
• The full 6DOF platform motion can be used in sync to the media content during the tilt movement of the entire system between the horizontal load and vertical show position of the guest platfom.
A HEXaFLITE®2.0 sales contract has already been signed. It’s the new HEXaFLITE® 2.0 with 48 seats and special effects. The project will be implemented in the greater area of Macau, China, in 2022.
The HEXaFLITE® systems are available in various sizes from a 20-seater up to a 72-seater.
Special effects like wind, scent and spray are supporting the immersive ride experience
Further developments of hEXaFliTE®:
One further enhancement is the use of spherical LED screens instead of screens and projection systems. These LED screens provide pin sharp pictures and were first successfully used in Sunac Land Wuxi and Guangzhou in 2019 followed by system handovers in Kunming, Chengdu and Chongqing in 2020. With the brightness and sharpness of the LED screens in combination with Simtec´s dynamic motion systems the total flying theatre experience has reached a new level - never seen before. The HEXaFLITE® flying theatre attraction has been rated best attraction parkwide at several Sunac Land locations and two of them have been awarded with the Asia Attractions Golden Crown Award.
New FUNriDE Family member: FUNriDE 21
Simtec’s motion based simulator rides, the FUNRIDE Family, has grown!
Simtec Systems was selected as supplier for the main attraction of OCT Happy Valley’s newly developed Super Wings real-world theme area in Chongqing, China.
The main attraction of the new Super Wings area will be the “Ledi Secret Mission” simulator ride. Simtec will supply three FUNRIDE open cabin simulators with 21 seats each. The opening of the new Super Wings area is planned for 2021.
The Made in Germany FUNRIDES are designed as open cabin simulator (FURNIDE OCS), placed in front of a huge screen with single or multiple units. The closed cabin simulator (FUNRIDE CCS) represents a further version with audio/video systems on board. The FUNRIDE systems are available in sizes from 2–100 guests.
