Formula K International
Formula K the brainchild of Graham Liddle a multiple former karting World cup winner. Retiring from competition in the late 1970s Graham established a new business with the main aim of manufacturing its own quality commercial grade vehicles for this new and exciting recreation.
Formula K is still owned and run by the family and continues to manufacture in the UK, producing 14 different models selling to over 50 countries.
Despite the companies industry heritage our team is constantly working on new and innovations and designs for ever changing operator demands.
The power shift
For many years the only option was to power all vehicles with petrol engines. More recently all electric power has been the force with cleaner and more environmentally friendly operation. Formula K is at the forefront of this shift, now 95% of all new mini-cars and go-karts produced by us are powered by onboard batteries.
Big and small
In earlier years Formula K was known for its manufacture of industry wide renowned twin and single seat go-karts. To this day that remains a healthy part of our annual production. However for a decade or more we have focused heavily on the younger user market establishing our range of battery powered minicars and driving school
vehicles for the 4-12 age group. This now represents more than 75% of our production output.

Formula K offers more than just vehicle supply alone. As a company we offer wide ranging products and services to compliment our range of vehicles.
A track environment and its correct implementation is critical to the overall success of the attraction. Our guidance and design services for the track layout are freely available. Also manufactured is the containment barriers for our mini-cars that ensure a safe and fluid operation.
Our aftersales and spare parts services are also widely regarded as industry leading and a direct client-factory relationship is key to profitability and longevity of the attraction.

At the centre of Formula K design ethos is safety, and this principle since the beginning remains the core of all Formula K products. Every design is meticulously studied for any shortcomings in user safety, ensuring compliance and standards are not just matched but exceeded. All vehicles have many layers of automated safety systems to ensure the operator always has control over cars ability to deliver an exhilarating free driving experience for the user while ensuring safety for all.
Clients
Formula K is equally well known for supplying small stand alone attractions as well as major theme park installations of driving schools and tracks. Our recent projects are sited at Folly Farm, Warner Bros Movie World, Butlins resorts and most recently to Tornado Springs driving school at Paultons Park for which we were awarded Park World Excellence Ride of the year award 2021.
We have also successfully developed bespoke licensed designs for AA motoring, Suzuki, Warner Bros, Little Grey Fergie and others.
