Short Term Disability
• Regular Occupation definition of disability
• Benefit amount is 60% of gross weekly 1099 earnings to a maximum of
$500 a week
• 14-day elimination period
• No pre-existing condition limitation during GI, following that subject to underwriting
• No limitations for mental & nervous
• No limitations for drug and alcohol
• 11-week maximum benefit duration
– minor surgeries, pregnancy, back strain, knee injuries, arthritis and pneumonia
– maternity, substance abuse, and mental/nervous conditions
