A Note from the Editor
I often see posted online or get emails asking me “Where’s my Chow Life? Creating each issue is a large undertak-
ing with many pieces that come together into the final magazine. Some issues the pieces come together quicker than
others. It takes up to 2 months to complete an issue with the Awards issue taking extra time. Photos of the dogs
who have received awards are sent in by their owners who are given 3 weeks to submit them following the
National because they can’t be contacted until after the Awards Banquet which this year was
held on April 25th. Once the magazine is done and sent to the printer, it takes about 2
weeks for printing and then they mail it out via the US Postal Service. A few are sent out
by First class mail which takes about 2–4 days for delivery to advertisers and those who
chose to upgrade their shipping. The majority of subscribers receive their issue by Stan-
dard A shipping or what used to be known as “bulk” mail. Standard A shipping is truly
“snail mail” as it can take 1-4 weeks to be delivered. However, while you are waiting
for your printed copy to arrive in your mailbox, you can enjoy the digital version.
Finally, I want to thank all the advertisers, subscribers and contributors for your
continued support.
