Fall 2018 As our 2019 National Specialty will be here before you know it, I hope everyone
is making plans to be in Orlando from April 22nd through April 25th. The show
committee is working hard to make this another great specialty and one you do
not want to miss. There has been some misinformation about the hotel and I want
to assure you that there is RV parking available for up to 12 and the dog limit per
room is 4 (not 2 as many have been previously told). I hope to see everyone there!

Recently the CCCI Board of Directors has changed the process for selecting our National
Specialty judges starting for the 2020 Nation Specialty, which will take place from April 26th
through April 30th in Grand Island, NY. The main reasons for changing the process was to
streamline it to a one ballot procedure, select judges two years ahead and to give the regional clubs
direct input on the selection of judges. Following is how the new process will work:

• The ballot to be sent out to the CCCI membership for electing the National Specialty Judge
and the Sweepstakes judge will contain 20 names each.
• The twenty judge’s names will come from the following:
• Recognized CCCI Regional Clubs will be able to nominate one judge for both the
National Specialty and for Sweepstakes. Currently there are 15 recognized Regional clubs.
• The balance of the 20 judge’s names will come from persons attending the National
Specialty. Each person attending the National Specialty will be allowed to nominate one
judge for the National Specialty and one judge for Sweepstakes (who have not previously
been nominated by the regional clubs). If five additional judges are needed to fill the
ballot, the five most nominated judges will be added to the ballot to be sent to the CCCI
membership.
• Following the National Specialty, the Judges Ballot containing 20 names for the National
Specialty and 20 names for Sweepstakes will be sent out to the entire CCCI Membership.
Members will have 45 days to return their ballots. The judges receiving the most votes will be
selected to judge the National Specialty and Sweepstakes.
• Judges for the accompanying regional specialties will be selected by the host club from the list
of judges not chosen to judge the National Specialty.
