This year has been very active for chow chow events in Specialty Results
Canada. The Chow Chow Club of Ontario held a booster/ Best of Breed / Best of Winners / Winners Female / Best
supported entry on May 7th, and the Chow Chow Club Puppy in Breed
of Canada Inc. held boosters May 15th, July 16th and July First Lady Cunami
29th. Although the entry numbers were not large at these Breeder: Jolanta Taujeniene
events, the breed was well represented by both male and Owner: Mel Senko
female chows from Canada and the US. Best of Opposite Sex / Winners Male
The biggest event of the year was the Chow Chow Club Nyan Chow’s Time Works Wonders
of Canada’s (CCCCI) National Specialty show on July 31st. Breeder: Mika Sekine

It was held again at Spruce Meadows, the internationally
renowned equestrian facility located just west of Calgary, Select Dog / Best Canadian Bred
Alberta. Neither torrential rain nor large hail kept Ch. Beshia’s Dr. Watson
exhibitors away from the show. Exhibitors travelled from as Breeder: Zerilda Boleska, Mary & Michael Counihan
far east as Nova Scotia and as far west as Washington state. Owner: Christie & Shaun Sison
