Report of the AKC Delegate: (Margaret
DiCorleto): Report submitted. Margaret explained
the 1+1=1 was approved by the AKC Committees.
CCCI recommends a YES vote.
2019 National Show Specialty: (Chawncey Vaugh):
Report submitted. All committees are on track. Amy
and Kurt did a fantastic job on the fundraiser to
reduce the meals half price.
2020 National Show Specialty: (Cindy Stone):
Committees as on track. Looking into a
superintendent. MOTION: Albert/Williams to keep
Logo as received. For: Walden. Albert, Dandridge,
Banghart, DiCorleto, Brantley, Klein, Leonzio,
Sylvia, Williams, Ireland, Stone and Young. Against:
Strachan. Abstain: None MOTION CARRIED.
Committee Reports:
Awards: (Linda Brantley): Linda is working with
Vickie Ireland for a smooth transition occurring in
January 2019
ROM: (Lisa Leonzio): Nothing to report
Audit: (Lynette White): No report submitted.
Health: (Deb Spence): Report submitted. No
questions.
Historian (Bambi Walden): Nothing to report.
Members Education: (Dan Strachan): Report
Submitted.
Judges Education: (Mary Wuest): Report submitted.
Companion Obedience and Performance (Kathy
Sylvia): Nothing in Obedience until the next
meeting.
Legal: (Michael Heldt): Report submitted. The
By-Laws are being sent to the AKC awaiting for an
opinion on two items.
Regional Club Liaison: (Lisa Leonzio): Report
submitted. 8 Clubs have questions concerning the
new judge’s selection. Lisa will reach out to the other
clubs.
Publicity: (Love Banghart): Report submitted.
Club Publication: (Carol Ann Klein): Report
submitted. Winter Issue should be out by the end of
December.
Welcome Committee: (Rhonda Prince): Report
submitted.
Show Manual: (Carol Ann Klein): Report
submitted. Carol is adding a section on RV Parking,
She is in contact with Lonnie Burr, Jeff Sedillios
and Lisa Leonzio for suggestions and input. Trophy
section needs correction. We will handle that at the
next meeting. Selection of Judges: Carol will work on
the language. The AKC has no prohibition for a judge
to judge our Specialty and any other assignments.
The Orlando show has a 6 month rule where you
cannot judge Chow Chows. Carol will also work on
the financial responsibilities between the National
and Regional Hosting Clubs.
Welfare: (Elaine Albert): Elaine has received no
requests.
Advocacy: (Dan Strachan): Report submitted.
Dan included that there are no current anti chow
legislation.
Member Applications: MOTION: Brantley/
Banghart to accept Joyce Hickman, Eileen Katasky
and Donna Danner For: Walden. Albert, Dandridge,
Banghart, DiCorleto, Brantley, Klein, Leonzio,
Strachan, Sylvia, Williams, Ireland, Stone and Young.

New Business:
Member Survey: (Dan Strachan): 165 Surveys
returned. Dan still has more to look into the
answers. 30 % of the surveys has not attended a
national since 2013. 44% plan to attend the 2019
National while 30% stated no they are not planning
to attend. Dan would like to explore this more. The
biggest issues is Canine health second being dealing
with aging chows.
