Interested in Becoming a Board Member or Officer?

                                                        By Carol Ann Klein

If you are interested in becoming a board member or officer, you can indicate that on your dues form or
by let the Nominating Committee or any Board member know.

Each year the election process begins at the annual Board
meeting when the Nominating committee is selected. After
the Nominating committee completes their slate, it and the
candidates biographies are mailed out to the membership
by the Recording Secretary. If an individual wishes to have
their name added to the slate, they can submit a petition
supported by signatures from 10 members to the Recording
Secretary. If there are no write-ins, the Nominating Committee
slate is declared elected. However, if there are any write-in
nominations, a ballot is mailed to the membership. Following
the election process, the new officers or board members will
begin their term on January 1st.
You can find more specific information on the nomination and election process in the By-Laws; Article
V and the Rules & Procedure Manual; Part XI where it is well-defined. Both of these documents are
available on the CCCI website in Resources – Document Downloads – Manuals (https://chowclub.org/
