Social Function: The purpose of the text
Generic Structure: An arrangement, pattern, flow or stages in the preparation
of text
Language Features: A linguistic feature that is often found in text
Definition: A statement of the meaning of a term (a word, phrase, or other set
of symbols).
Procedure: An established method of accomplishing a task, usually with steps
that are performed in a prescribed order.
Material: Material is a substance or mixture of substances that constitutes an
object. Materials can be pure or impure, living or non-living matter.
Equipment: The set of articles or physical resources serving to equip a person
or thing.
Example: One of a number of things, or a part of something, taken to show the
character of the whole.
