Ensure Engineering Managers have the competence and authority to remove vehicles from service
where required.

Engineering Manager (or equivalent) must:

Ensure that all engineers required to undertake vehicle maintenance, repair and inspection processes
are trained and competent to do so.
Ensure that the required number of engineers are trained and competent to fulfil required vehicle
maintenance, repair and inspection processes
Audit the fire risk assessment process on a regular basis to ensure all aspects of this global standard
are met.
Ensure all tooling and equipment is maintained.

The Engineer´s line manager must:

The engineer´s line Manager will be held accountable for ensuring Engineers have the
necessary training, experience and currency to meet the legal requirements as well as those in the
Group Maintenance Standards and policies, and that this documentation is maintained and
completed. Failure to do so will be dealt with in accordance with the company’s progressive
discipline policy and serious failings may be considered as gross misconduct.
