Manjur Pattern

The Concept

Inspired by the Manjur Pattern which is considered
one of Jeddah’s most interesting architectural
heritage characteristics. The Manjur pattern can be
described as lattice grilles of wood or a shish net,
which are always on the top part of the Roshan or
the Mashrabiyah.

Taking the Manjur pattern as the baselines for the
Lighthouse body, and the waves of the Red Sea as
the sculpting force, the final design appears as a
dynamically sculpted and eye-catching monument
that serves the purpose of an iconic landmark that is
inspired by Jeddah heritage.
