Our Technologies
Enhanced Thermal Conduction (ETC) is an ex-situ thermal remediation process that heats stationary contaminated soil, vapori- zesthecontaminants, anddestroystheo -gases. Thisdesignallowsformuchloweroperatingcoststhroughhigherthermale ciency, comparedtootherthermaltechnologies, which“tumble”thesoil. Someofthekeybene tsoftheETCtechnologyinclude:
• Cost e ective thermal treatment
• ETC systems are scalable, robust, simple, and easy to mobilize & operate
• All-weather capable and able to process virtually any soil type
• No requirement to mechanically pre-process or screen soil t
• Does not produce waste byproducts or reject material and is able to treat high moisture content soils
• Ideal for remote sites or locations with challenging access issues yet just as functional in urban settings
A broad range of petroleum hydrocarbon impacts including diesel range organics, crude oil, coal tars, heavy hydrocarbons and PAH’s, have been successfully treated with this technology. This design has been deployed around the world to e ectively remediate hun- dreds of thousands of tons of hydrocarbon and organic contaminant impacted soils since the mid 1990’s and many of these projects have been remote in nature. To date, projects have been successfully completed for many organizations including Progress Energy, Chevron Corporation, U.S. Navy, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Energy, Department of Transportation, Department of Corrections, NOAA, and Thiess Services.
Infrared Thermal Technology is an ex-situ thermal remediation process that heats stationary contaminated soil/sludges in ba- tches. The innovative design of the Infrared allows for high temperature treatment of materials (soil, sludges, solids) without the use of moving parts. Some of the key bene ts of the Infrared Technology include:
• No moving parts, does not require blowers or exhaust fans
• No sound, silent when running on grid power
• It is a simple design – works via vapor pressures
• Thermal e ciency above 90% (TDU’s are typically around 33%)
• Lower volume of o -gases
• Low Maintenance
• Soil screening is not necessary
• Ideal for sites with limited working space
• Is able to treat soils and sludges within 24 to 72 hours per batch
• Is able to recover reusable products

This design produces a very low amount of exhaust gas which is able to be cooled and condensed. This process allows for the recovery of materials previously entrapped in the contaminated materials (i.e. oil, diesel, etc.).
