  Commercialise
Once you’ve protected your IP, the key to making money is to commercialise it.
You can actively use the IP to extract value, for example by building a brand or by patenting a new innovation or product.
There are a wide range of different methods available for you to exploit your IP, such as:
ƒ Licensing: This is where you allow another party to use your Intellectual Property in return for a fee. This can be a great way to generate income from your property, while still retaining control over how it is used.
ƒ Merchandising: Another popular way to exploit Intellectual Property is by selling products with your logo or design on them. This can be a great way to generate profits and promote your brand or product.
ƒ Publishing: If you own a copyright or trademark, you may be able to publish and sell products using your Intellectual Property. This can be a great way to generate revenue and build your brand.
