Jackie Robinson played quarterback for the Semi-Pro
Honolulu Bears football team, 1941.

After Robinson left UCLA, he was hired to play football

for the semi-pro Honolulu Bears football team. Their first
exhibition game was played at Pearl Harbor. Jack sailed out of

Honolulu on December 5, just two days before the Japanese

attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
